A school pitch that turned personal.
Vimora started as an economics project. The task was straightforward: theoretically found a company and pitch the product. Most ideas stayed theoretical. This one didn't.
The concept came from a frustration that was still fresh — having just bought a school laptop and going through everything that process involved. Unclear condition grades. Prices that didn't reflect reality. No easy way to compare what you were actually getting. The pitch became a direction.
That was about a year ago. Since then, the project has grown from a slide deck into an actual platform — shop, configurator, and price comparison tool. All built solo.
School economics project: theoretically found a company. The idea: a transparent hardware platform.
Over a week of searching. Hundreds of combinations. Finally: Viable + Modern + Reinvented = VIMORA.
Shop, configurator and radar — built from scratch. From slide deck to working product.
What's in VIMORA?
After more than a week of searching, the approach changed: instead of inventing something, the idea was broken down into what it actually stands for — then built back up from the initials.
Three words. One platform.
Viable
Every product sold through Vimora is tested and graded. No mystery boxes, no inflated refurbished markups — just hardware that works at a price that makes sense.
Modern
A PC configurator that checks compatibility, a radar that tracks prices across retailers, and a shop that makes condition grades clear — because buying hardware shouldn't require a degree.
Reinvented
Used doesn't mean lesser. Hardware that still performs deserves a second life — and buyers deserve to know exactly what they're getting. That's the whole point.
One year in. Still building.
The platform today covers three areas: a shop for new, used and refurbished hardware; a PC configurator for building a system component by component; and a radar for price comparison and curated deals.
It's still early. More products, more tools, and more ways to find the right hardware at the right price are coming. The goal hasn't changed since the first pitch — make hardware accessible, honest, and worth your time.
See it for yourself.
